Enable or Disable AI Assistant

Team-level access control

If access to AI Assistant in your organization is allowed on a team-by-team basis, you can enable or disable AI Assistant in your team.

Disable AI Assistant on the IDE level

To disable AI Assistant on the IDE level, you can disable the AI Assistant plugin. Click AI Assistant in the bottom-right corner.

Restart IntelliJ IDEA and activate your license

After getting the AI Assistant license, you need to activate it. Restart IntelliJ IDEA and activate your license.

AI Assistant unavailable in your organization

Talk to your employer about requesting a corporate AI Assistant trial. Make sure AI Assistant is enabled in your organization. If you see an AI Assistant is disabled message in the plugin, ask your organization admin to enable it. Here are the instructions for admins on how to do it.
