Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 34 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell each added 20 points. The Timberwolves' defense held the Nuggets to just 36.7% shooting from the field, including a dismal 22.2% from three-point range.
The Nuggets' loss puts them on the brink of elimination in the series. They will need to win Game 6 on Saturday in Minneapolis to force a Game 7 back in Denver.
